Todd Owens and Michelle Heck, founders of Nonprofit Talent, have substantial history and background working with diverse nonprofits, including those that focus on education, human services, the environment, aging, domestic violence, youth and family, economic and community development, and the arts.
Because we are not human resource executives, we do not approach our work from that perspective. Instead, we view leadership transition as transformational, rather than transactional. A leadership transition is a complex organizational change process that occurs to produce a new leader near the conclusion of the transition work.
